On bass, Paul
Mallatratt's love of the low frequencies started when he was 13.A
classically trained double bass player he has performed in orchestras
and swing bands throughout the UK and Europe before moving on to the joys
of jazz, soul, funk and rock.
Paul has honed his technique over many years to develop a unique and recognisably
smooth sound, providing the valuable sonic foundation which can now be
heard in The Steve French Band's live and recorded work.
As an accomplished session musician and producer, Paul has also performed
on and produced many recordings for independent artists from traditional
blues through to heavy rock and beyond.
